I'm new to the RC world and I would like to build one from ground up.  I bought the Sakuru D4 AWD chassis but I'm totally lost in electronic parts, just not too good with them.  I've been reading this forum and know the basic of it but when I'm getting different brands and stuff, just not sure will they all link together....Anyone can guide me through the electronic parts?

Here is the list that I have come up with but still missing battery..

Once you become RWD, it comes down to tuning, suspension, transmitter adjustments, and tires. The first time you place your RWD setup on the drift track, you would expect your car to slide through each corner. But we all know, that's unlikely to happen. So how do we solve this? Tuning involves trial & error with the ankerman, camber, toe, shocks, springs, ride height, etc.

For a newcomer to the RWD scene, how are they able to learn and understand on what each tune accomplishes? If i'm oversteering or understeering, how would a newcomer know what to adjust? Is it best to keep the ride height low? High? High up front, but low in the back?

The possibilities for all these adjustments are endless. My main point is, the RWD scene is growing, but where and how is everyone increasing their knowledge? I hope im wrong, but is there a specific youtube tutorial that explains these fundamentals? I cant read the Japanese manual off my Yokomo Type C, but from the looks of it, they dont go in depth on what each tune can benefit.

Morning all,

Just trying to turn up some Active Hobby STR187 drive shaft axle ends (I would also take the full drive shafts though, in fact a full set of drive shafts and a set of axles would be perfect but that might be asking too much).

Also thinking someone might have had a similar issue with the active uprights as I know they were a popular mod a couple of years back, and might have found a good alternative axle to use?

Bought some Active Hobby KPI uprights the year before last but the axle ends where not in stock when I ordered, ended up sitting in my box and only just remembered them recently. Would really like to use the hubs on my RWD D3 as originally planned but the D3 axles don't fit due to different size bearings and other measurements.

Have looked online and can't find any stock of them anywhere I can think of (Banzai Hobby, RC Mart, Asiatees, RC-Race-and-drift-japan).

Anybody got a spare set in their kit box they want to sell me? Or know someone who might or somewhere with some for sale still? Or does anyone know of any other axles that fit those KPI blocks?

I know I posted similar in the wanted section but also thought it would be worth posting here in case anyone knows of an alternative that would fit instead?

So I bought a D4 AWD because Drifting looks like fun.  All I have done in the past is scale/crawlers.  I have no idea what I need for electronics.   I know I want sensored brushless for 2s lipo.  Beyond that I am clueless.

What motor and gearing combo?  

I want the car kind of fast I think.  

Whats a good ESC and servo?


I have a few Hitecs but I think 400+ in/oz of torque maybe overkill.

I understand the need to control of spam or flooded messages, but can the post time limit be decreased?  Nowadays, users expect instant-gratification when sending or receiving information.  I think if the time limit is lower, it would encourage more people to post threads and reply to threads faster.  Which benefits the community because of increased activity.

I custom fabricated a Basher bar for my Sakura D4. One of a kind. Mounts on to the front bumper, Doesn't weigh a ton. Replaced my front weights with this bar. What do you think? Should i paint it or leave it raw? Fits `190mm-200mm bodies with easy.

Hi guys, 

Is the Mst LSD rs 2.0 gyro work with a savox servo? When I slide the car one way the wheels turn the opposite way. I have the instructions a 100 times and I still can't figure out how to reverse it. 

Any help or tips?

The light buckets are a little confusing. Do I need to cut the front and rear light panels out before I install the buckets?
