Sakura D4 AWD shaking when turning, help?

$

Hi everyone, I recently got and built a Sakura D4 AWD, and I have been having problems when the car is turning.

When turning, as the front wheels approach to full lock, they begin to shake and shudder.

It is quite annoying and causes problems during drifting as well as being very concerning that something is going to break.

I have three questions,

Is this a common problem?

Does anyone know how to stop it shaking?

Should I contact the manufactures about my chassis having faulty parts?

The body is the Tamiya Porsche 911 GT2 Taisan, it is a used body we picked up with the chassis. There will be a RWB replica sometime in 2016 ^_^—BTW Merry Christmas!!! __ Royalty Free Music by Incomptech

Yokomo DP Rwd

So it's been a while since my last post - lots of progress, work and mostly having a life takes the time :D

Idk if you have seen a japanese guy: Robekensugi - He is a guy that drives a Yokomo Drift Package in rwd that he did some few things to make it work and since my old TT02 FRD was acting up, i'd figure why not try the Yokomo way since my recently bought and assembled DIB V.2 was so so good in CS, took me to another whole level.

So, the facts - the parts:

-------------------------

Mst LSD 2.0 RS vers. Gyro:

-------------------------

I don't have too many pictures of the build because it took me alone 10 hours to build it, you just try to figure it out as you go since the manual is in japanese:

-------------------------

Further on, the plastic is amazing, almost like it's reinforced carbon plastic materiel, really strong and sturdy - There is less flex than my DIB haha.. The tub is fine for now but there is also other areas where i need parts, such as a Spur Gear adapter for me to change the spur gears to other producers - Also it's limited what pinion i can use when using the stock Spur gear since the motormount is not that "flexible" in positions..

As for video, i'm still working on it since it's been a rough half year with no place to drive and i basicly only have my Canon 550D and my GoPro Hero2, both obsolete - the camera does max 720p and the gopro 1080p but not in a great quality..

Setup wise i'll add another post in the chassis setup area for other to try and make them work as well as posting the setup videoes from Robekensugi so people can be amazed as much as i was.

Bring new life to your HPI RS4 Sport 3 with the Yeah Racing Aluminum Essential upgrade kit! Introducing the Yeah Racing Aluminum Conversion Kit For HPI’s RS4 Sport 3, this kit consists everything you need to upgrade your RS4 Sport 3 to unleash its full potential. On the stock HPI RS4 Sport 3 there are a lot of plastic parts, which creates a lot of play in the suspension. This creates inconsistency in the suspension geometry and will make your car hard to drive, especially on bumpy surfaces where your suspension will work twice as hard.Yeah Racing has used premium quality materials coupled with precise CNC cutting to manufacture all the parts in this conversion kit. The result is enhanced performance and durability upgrade due to the minimum friction and flex within the car’s suspension system as a result. Unique to this upgrade kit is an o-ring system which holds the downstop screw in place which is rarely seen available in aluminum suspension arms.FeaturesFor: HPI RS4 Sport 3Material: AluminumColor: OrangeMeticulous Design Resulting in Minimized FrictionPremium Materials Built To LastPrecise CNC manufacturing process for the Perfect FitThis is the ultimate upgrade kit for people who are sick of seeing original plastic parts breaking! MST SWB MS-01D VIP RWD Chassis

This MS-01D chassis was our introduction to the MST brand so therefore has some sentimental value.  With the evolution of the RWD movement, we decided to mod this MS-01D to see if it was capable of RWD.  Videos can now be seen on our YOUTUBE, so check them out when you get a chance.  It was quite the successful conversion.

To address is the steering angle of the chassis, RWD demands high steering angles so this is a must.
Step 1: Remove Front differential, belt, and dogbones
Step 2: Upgrade to IFS suspension system, which provides better wheel clearance[Image: MST-Short-Wheel-Base-RWD-MS-01D-VIP-RC-D...sion-4.jpg]

Step 3: Replace the MST steering bridge with a turnbuckle, this allows for adjustment to allow increased steering angle but introduces Ackerman Angle.[Image: MST-Short-Wheel-Base-RWD-MS-01D-VIP-RC-D...sion-8.jpg]

Be aware of how you adjust the new steering bridge, too much adjustment may cause interference with the spur gear (size dependent). Depending on how the setup, you may also need to  adjust your servo throw to compensate for the new angle produced by the steering link.
[Image: MST-Short-Wheel-Base-RWD-MS-01D-VIP-RC-D...sion-2.jpg]

Step 4:  Replace the steering knuckles with something newer than the conventional MS-01D arms.  It will help with steering geometry and overall feel when driving.
[Image: MST-Short-Wheel-Base-RWD-MS-01D-VIP-RC-D...sion-3.jpg]

Step 4A (Optional and not required!):  More of an FYI than anything, this chassis was purchased custom in order to make it a Short Wheel-base (SWB) chassis.  The reason for this was to purpose build a chassis to support a Tamiya GT2 Taisan Racing Body.  This should not effect the RWD change, so proceed if you are changing your MS to RWD.
[Image: MST-Short-Wheel-Base-RWD-MS-01D-VIP-RC-D...sion-7.jpg]

Step 4B (Optional and not required):  Bling out the rear damper stay with the new MST adjustable ones.  Not really necessary but does add more available damper positions and ease of adjustments.
[Image: MST-Short-Wheel-Base-RWD-MS-01D-VIP-RC-D...sion-5.jpg]

Step 4C (Optional and not required):  We decided to attach the 1st generation Oxygen rear battery mount.  It shifts the weight further to the rear, the idea is to balance off the weight from the motor and provide some additional grip.
[Image: MST-Short-Wheel-Base-RWD-MS-01D-VIP-RC-D...sion-6.jpg]

Step 5:  Slap on an MST Gyro!
Step 6:  Profit!

What offset wheel for this Body?

I am new to the drifting RC world. When I was younger I had a offload racer but now as an adult i want to get into the drifting world. Now to my question.

I want to get this body from AP Plastics. They don't have a website or anything but I found them thru Instagram. The Rear will be 223mm wide and the chassis that this is going on is a Sakura D4. The 3Racing brake kit will be behind the wheels. I am having trouble finding a few accessories for it. The wing that will go over the under wing, side mirrors, and wipers. The most important thing is the wheels. I want them to have a real nice flush fitment to the body and it not tuck under the body. It won't kill me if it pokes out just a bit. I have tried so hard to find something online but there isn't much on this body. Would anyone please direct me where i can find the certain things i want for it. I want this to look as realistic as possible and i will be experimenting with styrene to make it look as real as possible. Thanks in advance. As for the body here are the photos i have of it.

Hey guys,

Been lurking here for a few weeks once I found out RC drifting was a thing, and since I can't afford a drift car figured this is the next best thing!

Anyways, just bought a second hand drift car off ebay and I know it needs a few things but being new, a keen eye to check if all looks right and confirm what I think I need would be cool.  Heres what I have + some pics.

-3R Sakura D4 AWD w/ some upgrades
-Speed Passion Dokyo drift sped 6.5 brushless motor
-Speed Passion Riverton ESC w/ program box
-Giant Power 4000mAh 7.4v 65c Short pack battery

What I think (was told) I need:

-Transmitter
-Receiver
-Servo

Wires look all messed up being cut and taped and such, but this being my first not sure what's right and wrong here.

See ya around the forum!
