hpi sprint 2 front motor swap

im not sure if this is the right place for this thread so please move if necessary. i recently did the front motor conversion, having a tough time figuring out steering. i broke the stock L shaped steering wiper so first i need to know where to get one, but more than that i need help with the whole thing. i can get it to turn one way but not the other. the wiper would just flex at the top when i tried to turn left and seize the servo up. detailed pictures and help would be greatly appreciated i really just wanna drift! my set up was a threaded rod from the servo to the wiper, small piece from wiper to right knuckle and then a threaded cross bar from side to side.
