General Question - Rear Lock Diff

Question...

Do ALL RC Drift cars need to Lock The Rear Differential ?

I understand that it makes the car drift smoother , correct me if I'm wrong , please ; and if that is the case then why don't the manufacturers simply sell for example RTRs with pre Locked Diff ?

Am i missing something ?
