I've been into rc for over 4 years racing and bashing 2wd short course and since drifting actually initially peaked my initial interest into rc, I ended up getting a shortcourse truck because it was much cheaper to get into from what I was told. That aside I've been doing some homework and have decided to go RWD on a budget. I've mainly been looking at a sakura d4 rwd and have a cart set up on rc mart which I will include details of hoping to get feedback and/or other recommendations. I plan on pulling my brushless setup out of my sc to power it, 540 4 pole 3300kv dynamite tazer system along with my rx/tx(entry level spectrum). In the cart I set up I included a few upgrades as well such as aluminum shocks, bearings, curved steer track to start with and electronics that I want to use are a futaba 3003 servo and a yeah racing gc301 gyro. extras include extra belts, pinion an extra spurs and a pandora mitsubishi lancer body.
Current price shipped from rcmart is $320 and I'd like to keep it under 350 shipped. Any help or suggestions, tips tricks the whole 9 yards will be extremely appreciated, I want to keep it a kit form as I dont really enjoy working with rtr's, would rather put in the wrench time myself.
Any other feedback or help on what to buy to get started will be really appreciated!
